Primative Touch

Prior to having the Christmas show my wife and I was discussing our display for the show and we thought to add a little touch. Our thought was to make some kind of primitive looking piece to help accent my carving pieces.
This drawer unit is made of pine. Overall size is about 10" deep x 12" tall x 16" long. I was not completely happy with the finish. I wish I would have used "Milk Paint" or something similar. I did not want the gloss surface look. The paint I used was "Old Village" oil base. Under coat was black and the top coat was red. I can give you the exact color names and numbers if you wish. I may have even wanted to possibly use a "Crackle" type paint. If you are interested making this project yourself, please let me know and I will send you my plans.
