Barn Door Blitz

Since my wife and I moved into our new home in Mount Vernon, Wa we have been beating our brains out of what we want to do by customizing the way we want. One of the big idea was to replace the cheap hollow core doors that entered our master bath and adjoining walk-in closet. So this is what we came up with. The new thing now are "Barn  Doors" This simple but effective design feature had really got us excited about seeing what the rest of the home will look like.
Closet door is 26.75" wide x 82.50" tall and the Bathroom door is 30.25" wide x 82.50. The door is made up of tongue and groove boards with 1 x 4 and 1 x 6 outer frame. Hardware was purchased on Amazon. Material cost roughly $175. Each door has been prime to keep knots from showing through and the final coat of white paint.

Next will be to add new door and baseboard through out the house....Stay tune for future progress.
