As other in the wood working community have seen several You Tube sites sharing their method of making these scoops. My favorate site I went to was Jays Custom Creations. His simple ideas for such practical projects has always interested me. This project is mainly made using a band saw and a sanding disc. I made this out of walnut. My wife and I are fans of the "Primative" style furniture and this type of project could be good added feature to our collection. I will make some others and make out of softer wood so it can be painted and stressed to blend n better with our decor.
This will be a gift for my wife's birthday today 7-31-14.
